Shop small.

As an introvert and having been a mom of many for over half my life… I’ve purchased a lot of things from the internet, primarily. As I found out my pain and lack of mobility was in actuality a debilitating genetic disease, it became an absolute necessity. I find that most especially this time of the year it’s difficult to brave the hoards. I know I’m not alone so I’m going to share a few of my favorite small shop finds with you 🖤

Angel Shoppe pens are some of my favorites! They are fat, so if you have arthritis or hypermobility issues they’re much more comfortable to grip. They’re pretty and go well with my journal setup as well so I can carry one or more around with me, if needed. Best of all, they’re refillable!

Gotamochi has these CUTE fleece animal socks (I have a thigh sock fetish 🙈) and I have them in nearly every animal lol. I wear them over leggings in winter and they really help to keep me from losing too much heat.

Taken over a year ago; these were one of my first well-loved “fuzzy socks.” Please ignore my skin color as I have Reynaud’s 😸

Black Milk clothing has beautiful, stretchy and very comfortable items. My skin is super sensitive due to MCAS issues and EDS fragility so I’m honestly someone who finds even wearing clothes to be tedious and uncomfortable. When you itch so bad you scratch your skin off it’s generally not a great thing. These items tend to take handwashing but I find them completely worth it.

I talked to a few people in the industry who told me I was making a big mistake and that I would go broke within the month. Apparently, online selling was only for companies with ‘real’ shops. But the problem was that ‘real’ shops weren’t interested in my clothes! So I went online.

Kawaii Slime Co. is a shop that sells handmade slime with a “kawaii” aesthetic. I think she really nailed it and her slimes are absolutely divine! Seriously, some of the scents are so spot on you almost want to eat them🧁

The slimes she makes are great for folks and kiddos with sensory and anxiety issues. She makes different types so they have different feels and textures to various slimes. Some I have feel like soft dough, some like silky sand, and some feel like a cloud! Highly impressed.

I think it goes without saying; I really love her slimes 😸
